Big Day for our Little Pook!

Its a big day for our Little Miss Pookie!  Today we went to sign her up for Preschool for this coming Fall.  Not to sure if she is excited about it yet but she did enjoy walking up the stairs to the office.  

She will be heading to Chester United Methodist Preschool right here in the middle of Chester(only about 5-8mins from our house) and will be going from 9:15-12:15 tue/wed/thurs starting in September!  

  This is definitely a bitter sweet moment for me especially since it feel like yesterday I was walking the hallways with a screaming colicy/refluxy baby that ruled our world.  Well she still rules our world and does still scream and yell most days, but it is so much fun watching her grow and learn not only from us but also her big Brother(probably her most influential friend)!  

So here is to Maggie getting older every day and turning into an awesome funny crazy cool young lady!  Love ya Pookie!  

  

 
 

Hitting Milestones

We have had lots of Milestone hitting this past week!  First we had our 1st Snow of 2013 and Liam's first OFFICIAL Snow Day out of school!  The kids had a blast watching it come down and then getting to play in it most of the day! 

 

 Sunny even got excited about playing in the cold snow!

 One of there favorite things about the snow was having Snowball fights with each other and Daddy!

Our second big Milestone happened on Sunday afternoon!  Liam had a front tooth that had been loose for over a month now... He went to visit Maliegh and Grandad and decided to pull it.  He got the paper towel and pulled it out in one quick pull! 

 

 Of Course he was super excited about putting his tooth under his pillow and seeing what the Tooth Fairy would bring him!

And not to be outdone by her big brother Maggie decided she wanted to start going to the Potty!  This morning alone she has gone to the potty 2 times and doing her business both times! 

 So Proud of herself and is loving all the potty treats and sticker chart! 

 I am loving seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with diapers and of course she can't go to preschool if she isn't trained by September(not that im worried about that).

The Big S word!

This is my first post of the New Year and I hope 2013 is being good to everyone so far!   We have been getting back to normal after our holiday break from school and having Travis home with us for almost 2 weeks.  And let me tell you it has been really hard to get back to it, but slowly we are getting there!  

January is halfway through and this past week there have been whispers of the awesome to some dreaded to others S word.  You got it SNOW!  The kids are excited especially since this past week has been nothing but grey clouds and RAIN, RAIN, RAIN

 and more RAIN.

But then we heard the whisper we always want to hear in the Winter time.... chance of SNOW!  So here we are hoping that we will be able to switch out our RAIN COATS .....

Library Fun

Today marks a big day in Liam's life!  He got his very own Library Card!  He is so excited!  He even signed the back himself and promptly checked out tons of books and 1 DVD(Alice in wonderland the Johnny D one)...

Still in Awe that our little Man is growing up so fast!  First Library cards next up Kindergarten!  

Long Over Due

I feel bad that its been a while since I have blogged... Things have been pretty busy over here this past month.

Our Biggest event by far was Maggie's 2nd Birthday!  We had her Maggie Moo Birthday Party on July 9th and of course it was the HOTTEST day of the Week, but we all had a great time and more importantly Maggie had a BLAST!

Next on the list of Funness  was Maggie's First visit to the Stoney Point Fashion Park Fountains and Build a Bear!   She was not a huge fan of the fountains as she couldnt control when the water was going to come out but Liam and his best friend Aidan had a blast!

When the boys tired themselves out we all headed over to Build a Bear to let her pick out her Birthday bear!  She of course picked out a pink polkadot Minnie Mouse bear!  She really didnt like the filler machine so Liam helped her out by pushing the pedal but she loved giving her a bath with the help of Madison!

As you can tell we have had a great deal of fun over the last couple weeks and have done a lot as a family as well on the weekends when daddy is home with us!  One of our new fave past times is grilling!  Liam is turning into quite the grill-master under his daddy's guidance, and I am loving the yummy foods!

Busy Week!

This past week has been super busy but also tons of fun!  On Monday Liam went to VBS at my mom and dad's church(Col. Heights Baptist).  He was a bit anxious to say the least about staying alone but once he got there and got going he had a blast!  Maggie was in awe when we walked in the door and there were huge balloons hanging from the ceiling and then we get in the sanctuary to see the HUGE airplane! 

 

 Then on Tuesday Liam decided he would rather stay home and play with some friends!  Ellie was coming over to play for the day and then we also had some other friends stop by!  Liam loved playing with Parker and Kaitlyn and baby Joann for a while and then of course Ellie was with us for the whole afternoon!

After The Grogg's left we all had lunch and then headed outside to play in the pool and yard.  The girls decided it was to chilly to play in the pool so they ended up just running around for a bit before heading back inside.

 As you can see by the end of the day we had one Pooped little lady!  She crawled up on the couch with me to watch TV and fell fast asleep!

  

 Then on Wednesday Liam decided that instead of going to VBS again he wanted to go to the $1 movies with Ms Kelly, Sarah and Asha!  So we packed up our stuff and headed to the movies.  This weeks movie was Happy Feet 2 and it was a perfect movie for Maggie's first movie(well for all purposes... last one she was at she was a couple weeks old and in my moby wrap asleep the whole time)

She loved all the dancing and singing and even did great with staying still most of the time!  About 30mins from the end i did put her in her stroller and she promptly fell asleep(guess she was still tired from the day before). 

Luckily today we only had one thing to do and that was return something to walmart(which we did after lunch) and besides that we just hung around the house.  Liam would have gone to VBS but he decided to sleep in til 9:30a(totally unheard of) so he missed it today... hoping he makes it tomorrow but i guess we will see!  

Hoping not to melt tomorrow since its suppose to be super hot in VA... 101* I do believe.
