This year Liam has really been into growing things and so besides the normal stuff at Maliegh's we have our own tiny garden growing here at home! He waters them and makes sure there are no weeds growing in the box!
He has gotten so excited for every part of this. We have watched our Bush Beans grow from a seed to a small plant to the large mass of plants we have now blooming! And we have 2 different varieties of Bell peppers. We recently had to move them to separate pots since they are getting bigger than our box can hold. Can't Wait to eat the yummy veggies once they are big enough :)

Bye Bye Mrs Trudy
As eager as we are for Summer to begin we are all pretty sad that its the end of Liam's Preschool career. He has had a great time this past school year at Chester Child Development in Mrs Trudy's PreK class. He has made many great friends and learned so much this past year!
Then it was time for me to write out the poem(since my printer is broken). After many attempts it finally gets done and ready for the gift.
We have truly loved him being in Mrs Trudy's Class! He has bloomed into a bright and confident little man and I know in part this is due to Mrs Trudy and how she has let him be who he is and embraced it! She has answered all his questions without fail ( and we all know how many questions he can come up with) and shown him how fun learning can be! My biggest hope for him in Kindergarten and beyond is that he continue to have Teachers that are as Awesome as Mrs. Trudy!
To show her how awesome we think she is and that we will MISS her dearly! Liam and I made her a gift for the end of the year!
We started by gathering all of our supplies after a fun trip for Me and Maggie this morning to Hobby Lobby( I could loose myself in there!)
Once we got all of that together we had a bigger job ahead of us. We needed only the Blue, Orange, Yellow and Red M&Ms so we set to sorting out the green and brown ones out of that big bag of M&Ms. Liam thought it was really fun especially once we got to eat some of the extra ones.
Once we got them mostly sorted Liam was super excited to add them to the candy jar!
After that was done we put the lid back on the candy jar and started getting the stuff together to add the wooden Apple to the top! Liam plugged in the hot glue gun and we were ready to go... I added the glue to the lid and Liam pushed the apple into place!
Then it was time for me to write out the poem(since my printer is broken). After many attempts it finally gets done and ready for the gift.
While I was assembling the poem the kiddos had an idea of their own. Yep you got it Sticker body and wall art.
Here is the Final product! Liam and I had such a great time making this gift and I hope Mrs Trudy will enjoy it half as much as we did making it!

Memorial Day Weekend
Bring on the Summer!
We have kicked off Summer at the Becker House this past weekend! Friday after Liam got out of school we went over to his friend Josh's house to swim and play for the afternoon. It was so much fun and the boys had a great time helping Josh's older sister wash her truck on top of swimming and catching Frogs.
On Sunday we cleaned up outside a bit and moved the Grill up to the front in the new play area. Here is our new outside dinning and play area!

Once we got everything set up and ready Liam and I added more bird seeds to the feeder since the birds have been going nuts over it!
Then we let Daddy know the grill was ready to get going for our first Cookout of the summer! Liam enjoyed learning all there is to know about Grilling! We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs! It turned out totally yummy! After Dinner we all just played outside until the bugs got to be to much!
To end the holiday we headed over to Maliegh and Grandads house to have a family cookout! Everyone was there and we all ate TOO Much! Kids had a great time running around outside and playing in the water while the rest of us hung out under the umbrellas and tryed to stay cool!
Don't Forget to Thank the Military and there Families for all they have done Past and Present!
Waller Mill Park
Our Second outing was to visit Grammy and Grandpa for a bit and then head over to Waller Mill Park in Williamsburg! For this outing we invited Travis's Sister Jennifer and her Family to join us! We had only ever been to the Waller Mill Dog Park before and that was years ago, so we really had no idea what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was!
We let the kids play on the playground for a while before trecking out to walk one of the many trails around the park.
On our walk we ran into a tree that had fallen over and it was big enough that Liam could stand in the hole under it. They also found a pretty awesome Frog Friend that they played with for a bit!
Even with all the whining by the end of the hike it was still an awesome family outing. Looking forward to going back and maybe taking a canoe or paddleboat out on the water next time!
We get there and walk across this awesome bridge to get across the resourvoir.
We didnt get to see him but Jennifer, Brian and the twins saw a big turtle swimming under the bridge.

Of course the boys are in heaven finding walking sticks and exploring the path while Maggie and Carolyn take a more leasurely pace. I do believe Maggie rode on daddy's shoulders for most of the walk which ended up being about a mile or so which was good for Daddy since he was going hiking in the back country of Shennadoah the next weekend and Maggie is about the same weight as his pack.

Family Bucket List
Well Travis and I decided that we wanted to have one day a weekend where we got out and expierenced something new(or not so new) as a family. We didnt really care what it was but it had to be family friendly... So we got to putting a list together of places we have always wanted to explore or just our favorite places to go...
VMFA(virginia fine arts musuem) --- Bowling----DC Aquarium---3 lakes Park--- DC zoo---Drive In Movies---VA safari Park---Jamestown---flying squirrels game--Tyson's corner LEGO store-- Maymont--Lewis Ginter---Browns Isle---Canoeing at Pocahontas--and Baltimore Zoo to name a few...
Im sure we will add more as we find them. So Far we have made it out to 3 lakes park and Nature Center(in Henrico) and Waller Mill Park(in Williamsburg). Both trips were great.
Here are some highlights from 3 Lakes Park! Liam loved seeing all the wildlife that lives in the lakes the park is named for. In the nature center they had tons of reptiles(in tanks of course) for them to check out. I think Maggies fave was all the different Turtles they had. Liam liked seeing all the snakes(poinsous and non) and They both loved the glass wall you could look into the pond at! Maggie just kept yelling FISH, FISH! It was the cutest thing!
After the nature center we heading outside to have a picnic and play at the awesome playground! The kids loved it and so did we. It was covered in the rubber multch so we didnt have to worry to much about Maggie getting hurt so she loved getting a bit more freedom! Liam loved the giant rock formations with a web type chain connecting them. He would climb like a mountain goat and then jump off! He was in HEAVEN! They had the best time and we loved sharing it with them!
This turned out to be a pretty long entry so I will do another one for the awesome time we had at Waller Mill with The Walker's!
